Dreamer on the path to Citizenship

Luis, a DACA recipient, moved to the US as a child from Mexico. Despite speaking fluent English and Spanish and being a high school graduate, he had no clear path to citizenship. Like other Dreamers, he maintained his legal status by renewing it and his work permit every two years, while maintaining a clean criminal record. Luis married his US citizen high school sweetheart, enabling him to adjust his status. However, because he originally entered the US without an inspected entry, he was deemed inadmissible under immigration law. Thanks to DACA Advanced Parole, Luis received permission to briefly visit Mexico, thus legally re-entering the US and gaining the inspected entry required to adjust his status without leaving for consular processing in Mexico. ADC helped Luis renew his DACA and obtain his green card. If he remains married, he can apply for citizenship 3 years after obtaining his green card. We're excited to guide him on his journey to citizenship.
