• Vera Burgess

    Since volunteering at ADC in 2020, Vera transitioned to a part-time DOJ Accredited Rep in 2021, leveraging her ESL teaching experience to connect with clients from various nationalities. With personal immigration experience and a 14-year stint teaching ESL to Turkish and Bulgarian students, she empathizes deeply with her clients. Born in Cleveland to immigrant grandparents, Vera has lived in several countries, enhancing her appreciation for cultural diversity. She is devoted to making her clients feel welcome in the U.S., reflecting the hospitality she experienced abroad. Beyond work, Vera loves gardening, Sunday School teaching, and family time.

    Director of Social Advocacy and Lead Immigration Consultant

    Proud mother of 8 and grandmother of 1, Dalia joined ADC in 2022 and began working in partnership with InTulsa to help settle their new refugee families into the Tulsa area. Dalia is the daughter of immigrants to the Texas Rio Grande Valley and has walked through the process of petitioning her husband Jesus and seeing him through to citizenship. Having had a bad experience with immigration legal help, she understands the value of having qualified and experienced help to make the process smoother. Dalia is working on her bachelor's in legal studies at Northeastern State University with plans to graduate in Spring of 2025. In her spare time she enjoys hiking and spending time with her amazing family. She is a member of Battle Creek Church of Owasso.
